GrpSplit: Splitting Your Mesh Into Subtools

Splitting your mesh requires the use of Polygroups or mesh visibility.

Once split, each Polygroup will become its own SubTool and will be treated as a separate object.
There are two options for splitting a mesh:
- Split
- GrpSplit
To split a mesh using Split use one of the following options:
- Option A - Split by Polygroup
- Turn on Transform: Frame
- Set Tool: Geometry: SDiv to its lowest level
- Press Ctrl+SHIFT and click on the group you want to split
- Press Tool: SubTool: Split
- Option B - Split by Visibility
- Set Tool: Geometry: SDiv to its lowest level
- Press Transform: Lasso if you want to use the lasso selection tool.
- Press CTRL+SHIFT and drag out a selection around the area you want to split
- Press Tool:SubTool: Split
To split a mesh up by GrpSplit you must use Polygroups.
- Turn on Transform: Frame
- Press Tool: SubTool: GrpSplit
