Sculptor's Workshop
From ZBrush Info
Sculpting in ZBrush can give the user the feeling of working in actual clay. However, in ZBrush, its digital clay. It is cleaner, requires less set up and, at its core, is able to harnass the power of your computer to do things that you simply can't do with real clay.
3D models, inside the computer, are a collection of 3D virtual points in space connected by specific line segments. ZBrush's Digital Sculpting System utilizes polygonal data and several very important features to make working with 3D models in ZBrush more powerful than working with actual clay.
Below is a look at ZBrush's Digital Sculpting System:
- Sculpt the left and right side of your model simultaneously using symmetry.
- Work with your model at low levels of resolution or high levels of resolution using Dynamic Levels of Subdivision.
- Use naturalistic and empowered sculpting brushes to manipulate the surface of your model.
- Easily and quickly pose or adjust your model using Transpose.
- Mask off areas of your model using ZBrush's robust masking tools.
- Use ZBrush's powerful Stencils to work with your 3D model.
- Paint directly on the surface of your model without any prep using PolyPainting.
- Organize complex 3D models using Polygroups and Subtools.
- Use 3D Layers to separate your sculpting into an easily accessible layers system.
- Generate new parts to your model using Mesh Extraction.
