Working With Uvs

ZBrush allows you to easily create or remap UV coordinates. This can be a major advantage if you find that, for some reason, the original UV mapping for your base mesh must be changed.

Create UVs in ZBrush

  1. Select the model you want to change UVs for in the Tool palette.
  2. Set Tool: Geometry: SDiv to 1
  3. Press Tool: Texture: Guv or Auv

Re-Importing Uvs

  1. Select the model you want to change UVs for in the Tool palette.
  2. Set Tool: Geometry: SDiv to 1
  3. Press Tool: Morph Target: StoreMT.
  4. Press Tool: Import and navigate to the OBJ file with the uvs you want to import.
  5. Press Tool: Morph Target: Switch
